TRAFFIC

When I launched our new digital agency website in 2016 I decided to not only make a statement with creativity, content and flex TRAFFIC’s market muscle a little bit, I wanted to prove a point to our clients.

The point being at TRAFFIC we DO WHAT WE SAY ON THE TIN. And what better way to prove this by showing you how important it is to keep your digital marketing content up to date, relevant, engaging and continually providing your business with a healthy source of return for particular online success expectations you may have, or aspire to within your business field.

The emphasis on this can be further clarified as follows; your business website is your primary digital communication channel to the world, it is an important investment asset you fully own, and it is now more centric to your internal and external business than it ever was before. If you are savvy enough to understand this concept then you are on great ground.

Your main digital communication channel (and investment) to the world is your website!

THE NUMBERS

To fully illustrate the points of why you should keep your web material up-to-date we decided to wait a month after launching our new site before sharing this information with you in regards to statistics on the website revamp, I do think you will find this enlightening and in turn it may help you to consider the potential your business could truly be missing out on by not approaching your online marketing channel with a similar strategic philosophy.

So, I waited a month after launch before I showed you the following figures highlighting the difference between the old site we had for a couple of years and the new one just recently launched.

THE APPROACH

To put some perspective on my approach, I sat back and analysed a various number of metrics regarding the TRAFFIC digital business from current operational and state of play elements through to market position/perception, demographic targets, current alignment with business strategy, lead opportunity generation and so on…

This is something our digital business consultants are especially adept in here at TRAFFIC, and it’s a very common fact finding initiative we went through as a business service provider with most clients before starting any web channel revamps, upgrades or other service related builds. By undertaking this consultative audit process, we can begin to form a plan of attack which is precision based and targeted in its approach to ensure best possible online value gain.

Once I went through a process of deep analysis of this internal business data I moved towards planning, build and execution of the new site towards the live process. I won’t go into the specific mechanics of the website build here, however it is important to know that building the perfect marketing platform online for your business does take time. If you are looking at developing quality work, then it takes effort and patience.

THE STATISTICS

Below you will find statistics that I am comfortable to share with you that shows the difference between the numbers on our old site before we launched the new website, and in turn how the new site has performed since live.

traffic-STATISTICS

Average Unique Users per day

You will see that the Average/Unique Users per day has shot up by a whopping +192%. Apart from the new website being structurally well made and rich in content, I am using a variation of targeted e-marketing techniques in conjunction with the launch and as part of an ongoing marketing strategy. This parallel approach to marketing online helps to increase the catchment net and boost visits and interest into the site.

Session Duration

Session Duration has increased rapidly on the site due to developing a rich content strategy around media specifically video. We now have a total of 80+ videos running through the site and feeding into our social media channels which in turn increases engagement levels. This takes advantage of Google’s claim that Saudi Arabia ranks #1 globally in YouTube views per capita and the Middle East as a whole rank second, behind the US in total views (as of 2016 statistics). As you can easily see, and is demonstrable by the site session duration increase; video really is the No.1 media used across all devices in the region by users surfing the internet.

Location

As with any business the location that you are based in is of primary importance to you in regards to building immediate success. So appealing to that local audience and making sure you are being seen correctly by your local audiences in that area and consistently building brand awareness is fundamental.

At TRAFFIC, I have always focused on building and engaging with the MENA region. Here are some great numbers showing how we fair in those markets.

A MOBILE MARKET

If anyone ever tells you that people still do all of their web browsing from a desktop, don’t believe a word they say. Mostly all online business is accessed now through smartphones, so when you build your new site ensure you focus heavily on the following operating systems.
